Pursuant to Public Resources Code (PRC) §6226 (AB 1112), effective January 1, 2012, Commission staff, in consultation with the Department of Conservation’s Division of Oil, Gas and Geothermal Resources, is submitting its report on regulatory action, pending or already taken, and statutory recommendations for the Legislature to ensure maximum safety and prevention of harm during offshore oil drilling.
