In December 2018, the Commission adopted an Environmental Justice Policy and Implementation Plan. The Commission is tremendously grateful to everyone who attended our outreach sessions and provided feedback about what to include in our Policy. If you have questions about our Policy or about how the Commission’s work intersects with environmental justice, please contact Sheri Pemberton at firstname.lastname@example.org or 916.574.1992.
Two new resources from leading environmental justice and equity groups were recently released for state and local policymakers tasked with making decisions around building climate resilience. Research from the Asian Pacific Environmental Network shows a path forward for identifying the people and regions most impacted by climate change, while a guidebook from The Greenlining Institute provides guidance for implementing an equitable approach to building climate resilience.
